Multimodal Rail Road and Shortsea network
Samskip Van Dieren Multimodal has a widespread intermodal rail coverage between the European continent and Sweden. Using railterminals in Göteborg and Katrineholm as hub, also for North Sweden and Norway railservice can be offered.
Central situated in the German Ruhr, Railterminal Herne is excellent situated as a connectionpoint for railservice from the Nordics to the South of Europe such as Italy.
As a fully owned subsidiary of Samskip, Samskip Van Dieren also offers short sea services between the Baltic States, Scandinavian countries, England, Ireland and southern Europe. The hub in Rotterdam creates access to the entire pan-European intermodal network of Samskip group. These short sea services are also offered in combination with road and rail transport and together they represent a flexible intermodal and environmetal friendly concept where just in time service with fast transit times can be achieved.
